Membrane Filters
The AQQA® system is a submerged ultrafiltration system of the second generation, which combines proven and new properties in a unique way. The filter is immersed in the untreated water. The water is sucked into the filter with a slight negative pressure. All particles, solids and bacteria remain on the outside of the membrane surface. A flushing mechanism with air bubbles and water, which is specially adapted to the system, ensures a constant self-cleaning effect with high shear forces on the membrane surface. Based on this purely mechanical principle, the filter can be operated maintenance-free for one year. The outstanding innovation of the AQQA® filter is the possibility to reverse the flow direction and to pump a cleaning solution into the filter. This means that the filter can be cleaned during operation and has unprecedented performance. The filter no longer needs to be removed from the tank for cleaning, as was required for first generation filters.
